Over summer 2022 we were happy to host a large number of Maltese families, some of them with children, who joined us on the boat trips to Ta’ Ċenċ to witness the spectacle provided by flocks of Scopoli’s Shearwaters rafting on the surface of the sea before heading back to their nests in the cliffs at sunset. This is one of Malta’s most spectacular natural phenomena which happens at this time of the year. Apart from Scopoli’s, we were also lucky to observe a number of Yelkouan Shearwaters. Apart from four trips for the general public, with one of them sponsored by LIFE PanPuffinus! on which members of the media were invited, we also held an exclusive trip for the BirdLife Malta Kids Birding Club.
