Call for help to rescue stranded Yelkouans!

At the end of July we once again reiterated our call on the public to keep an eye out for stranded Yelkouan Shearwaters, which once grounded on land will not be able to make their own way back out at sea. We issued a photo of one of the Yelkouan Shearwaters which were rescued by a member of the public the previous week, after it ended up stranded due to light pollution in Gozo. It was released back at sea by our seabird team a couple of days later.
