Over summer 2023 we hosted over 200 people, mostly families with children, on our annual shearwater boat trips to Ta’ Ċenċ to witness the spectacle provided by flocks of Scopoli’s Shearwaters (Ċief) rafting on the surface of the sea before heading back to their nests in the cliffs at sunset. This is one of Malta’s most spectacular natural phenomena which happens at this time of the year. Apart from Scopoli’s, we were also lucky to observe a number of Yelkouan Shearwaters (Garni). Apart from three trips for the general public, we also organised a trip for LIFE PanPuffinus! stakeholders, and also an exclusive trip for the BirdLife Malta Kids Birding Club.
