Project features on Italian national TV

The importance of the Maltese Islands for seabirds such as the Yelkouan Shearwater came under the spotlight during the popular Rai Uno TV show Linea Blu – il mare on line in Italy. BirdLife Malta Head of Conservation Nicholas Barbara was interviewed by presenter Donatella Bianchi about the work carried out by BirdLife Malta to protect Malta’s breeding seabird species and he explained how LIFE-funded studies such as LIFE PanPuffinus! help us learn more about these birds and protect them. Footage provided by BirdLife Malta of our shearwater boat trips and also of seabirds along the cliffs was shown during the interview.
