The Green Fund with its Board Decision No. 1242.4/2022 co-finances the LIFE19 NAT/MT/000982 – LIFE PanPuffinus! project for year 2022 with the total amount of €25,000 for the implementation of the Hellenic Ornithological Society/BirdLife Greece actions.

The LIFE PanPuffinus! project is being implemented from September 2020 to August 2025 (duration 5 years). The Coordinating Beneficiary of the project is BirdLife Malta while Associated Beneficiaries are the Hellenic Ornithological Society/BirdLife Greece (HOS), the Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture – Malta, Ligue pour la Protection des Oiseaux/BirdLife France (LPO), Natural Environment and Climate Change Agency (NECCA) – Greece, SEO/BirdLife Spain and SPEA/BirdLife Portugal.

The total budget of the LIFE PanPuffinus! project amounts to €3,540,557. The European Union co-finances the project at a percentage of 60% (60% of the total eligible costs, i.e. €2,124,335). Malta’s contribution of 40% is co-financed by the Ministry for Agriculture, Fisheries and Animal Rights. Greece’s contribution is 40% financed by the Green Fund and the A.G. Leventis Foundation. France’s contribution is co-financed by Food4Good and Office Français de la Biodiversité.
